Alan Cox develops software for a living and for fun, just like he has since 1996. He specializes in finding and using data to solve really hard, really interesting problems. His Masters Degree in Operations Research from NC State helps with this, as do his undergraduate studies in Computer Science and Applied Math.
In this blog, Alan has a simple goal: to write posts that he wishes someone else had.
He works for UltraLinq Heathcare Solutions, and as is standard in this world: his views are his alone and shouldn’t be mistaken for UltraLinq’s.
Alan is married to Kate, a fellow Software Engineer. Together, they have two children: Annie (2007) and Elliot (2013). In his limited spare time, Alan enjoys having his heart broken by the Carolina Hurricanes.
